Michael Buis
Chief Executive Officer
Michael has been with PacStates since 1991 and brings over 36 years of telecommunications experience to his role as chief executive officer and managing partner. While his degree is in Engineering, Michael found that personal development and sales were his passions and never pursued his career but rather used his engineering studies and passion for personal development to achieve success in his phone system sales career. After 25 years of successful sales, Michael stepped into the role of CEO in 2006. Outside of work, Michael can be found leading bible studies or a worship team, dancing with his bride, or donating time and talents to the Reno Rodeo, Reno Rodeo Foundation, Balloon Races, Better Business Bureau, NNDA, EDAWN, and many other non profit organizations in the community.
Bryan Carothers
Operations Manager
Bryan has been an integral part of our technical team since 1989, and became PacStates’ Operations Manager in 2016. He has over 30 years’ industry experience and is responsible for providing unmatched customer service, exceptional organizational skills, and effective solutions to meet our clients needs.
Colette Cooke
Office Manager and Senior Accountant
Colette, joined PacStates in 2011 and is responsible for the company’s accounting functions, keeping Michael on track and receiving the dog photos sent from clients and the team. A native of Northern Nevada, Colette had earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She has more than 25 years of experience in accounting, data and financial analysis, payroll and human resource management.
Denise Buis
HR/Safety Officer and Contract Renewals
Denise has been a vital part of PacStates for over three years, bringing her expertise and dedication to every aspect of her role. With a diverse background in psychology, criminal justice, and judicial administration, Denise holds a BS and MA in these fields. Her certifications include OSHA 10, Fire Safety, Boom/Scissor Lift Operation, CPR/First Aid, Fall Protection, and Preventing Workplace Harassment, reflecting her strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Before joining her husband in leadership for PacStates, Denise spent 34 years at the University of Nevada, Reno. At PacStates, she is the go-to person for resolving HR issues, renewing customer support, and ensuring employees have the tools and training needed to stay safe and excel in their roles.
Outside of work, Denise is most proud of being a mother and grandmother. She enjoys dancing with her husband, enjoys live music events, enjoys time with the family, avoids having her photo taken, and is passionate about making a difference in her community. She actively supports organizations like Teen Challenge, which helps teens overcome challenging environments, and St. Jude’s, a cause close to her heart.
Bill Boston
Director of IT
Bill came to PacStates May of 2023. He joined PacStates because he’s always been impressed by the thoroughness of the cabling teams. As Director of IT, he manages our IT team to take it to the next phase of technology solutions.
Bill has known most of the team for a long time through working with them in his past career positions. He knew PacStates was a family-centric business and the most appealing part of joining our team was the opportunity to be a part of the PacStates family unit.
"PacStates has always been the premier phone system company in town. We have an opportunity to create that same level for the MSP side. My goals are to build and fine-tune the underside of the machine, to allow our sales team to focus on what they do best, and to really focus on our client’s needs."
Besides backpacking and fishing, public private networking solutions and process refinement are what Bill does best. Bill has been an IT expert in the private, public, military, and medical fields.
Sarrah Bridge
Director of Telco & UCaaS and informal in-house Telecom Therapist
Sarrah joined the PacStates family in 2018 and has reimagined her role into the Director of Telco and UCaaS otherwise known as our Telco Therapist who is dedicated to supporting client’s by taking on the difficult tasks of bill negotiations, protective agreements and so much more. Some would say that Sarrah’s skills and patience levels have (at times) been at a level of saint hood. Her 19+ years of telco experience (8 with AT&T in Reno) guide our clients through UCaaS and Telco experiences from quoting to installation and beyond. Her focus is a proactive, act as a liaison between you and the carrier, and help keep the project(s) on track while reducing the stress and anxiety associated with changing voice and/or internet providers.

Sarrah’s favorite thing to do for PacStates Help customers ‘clean up' their voice and internet bills and services so that they are getting the latest technology at the best price and only paying for what they need.
A random or fun fact: Sarrah grew up in the Northern CA redwoods and didn't have electricity until she was 7 years old.
Michael Buis, Jr.
Warehouse and Procurement Manager
Michael serves as the warehouse and procurement manager at PacStates, ensuring purchasing and supply accuracy. He left PacStates to finish his college degree and gain diverse experience outside of the family business. Honing his skills as the night lead at BakeMart, Michael determined delivery routes, ticketing, invoicing and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with other business leaders.
He returned to PacStates in 2022 and has been invaluable in building partner relations and keeping the warehouse full of critically important and hard-to-procure materials and products on hand for expedited service for our clients. Michael is often found around the building creating laughter and building strong relationships with his peers and playful pranks. Outside the office Michael Jr. enjoys his intense work outs, hanging out and laughing with friends and finding fun live music events.
Jennifer Mace Carothers
Staff Accountant
Jennifer joined PacStates in 2025 and is responsible for assisting the Senior Accountant with the company’ accounting functions. She has more than 25 years’ experience in accounting, data and financial analysis, payroll, and excelled to Assistant Controller in her previous position. Jennifer has lived in Northern Nevada since 1978 and enjoys being outdoors and hanging out with her grandsons.

Cynthia White
Administrative Assistant and Dispatch
Cynthia White brings more than 15 years of customer experience to her role as dispatcher at PacStates. For over 8 years, Cynthia has thoroughly enjoyed being the first impression for PacStates, managing incoming client calls, and coordinating with technical staff to ensure clients and new customers receive prompt and quality service as well as responsibilities of accounting assistant and creates a warm and thoughtful front desk atmosphere while she happily manages the internal going’s on’s, and chaos from the team during their shenanigans. She acquired her high level of professionalism and ability to keep things under control from her previous career at the District of Superior Court Maine. Cynthia loves creating the on-call schedules for the techs and taking to clients. As a personal note she wants us all to feel confident in our dietary choices to eat lobster as it is a zero calorie food.
Bill “Bing” Singer
Customer Advocate
With over 30 years of experience in project management, sales, and operations at AT&T, Bill Singer brings a strong background in managing customer relationships, optimizing sales processes, and ensuring top-quality service. In his current role, Bill monitors overdue task assignments in the GlassHive database to keep the sales team on track. He works closely with Bill Boston to refine follow-up procedures, ensuring the team adheres to the step-by-step Chartec sales process. Additionally, he collaborates with Michael to support the existing customer base, identifying the best ways to assist the sales team.
As the Account Manager for CSSNV (Crisis Call Center), Bill works alongside Pete and Noah to oversee repair tickets and meets with the customer weekly to address any concerns related to PacStates services. He also plays a key role in post-cut surveys, being on-site during go-live dates with sales reps and Joseph to establish strong customer relationships. A few weeks later, he follows up with customer contacts to review their installation experience and gather feedback.

Jennifer Baker
Performance and Engagement Consultant
Jennifer Baker brings more than 30 years of customer experience, from executive Casino positions to Executive Leadership Coaching and teaching digital tools and assorted business acumen in her Performance and Engagement consulting position. Her dedication to community creates connections and builds bridges for new and seasoned businesses to create opportunities for future collaboration. Her role with PacStates is engagement inside and in the community to advance our message, digital first impressions and client relations. Random fun fact: You will find her spending quality time re-living her childhood with her college age children, outdoors hiking with her dogs, advancing to the top of a mountain, or serving her guests as the ‘Queens of Bio-hacking’ at Nature Inspired Therapies, her wellness clinic.
Sherry Dall
Dispatcher
Sherry is a recent hire at PacStates. She answers incoming calls, assists clients, enters tickets for trouble calls, collaborates with our technicians, and ensures all tickets are handled promptly. Sherry has some programs to learn, but she approaches each day with a positive attitude and a commitment to always move forward.
Before coming to PacStates, Sherry worked for AT&T for 29 years providing operator services, line studies, IT support, and CSR services. She was also employed at Elite Spice as a receptionist and CSR as well as Greater Nevada Credit union for 5 years as a senior member resource representative where she approved fee override, reviewed wire transfers, did troubleshooting, reset passwords, and assisted with calls when needed.
In her spare time, Sherry cherishes moments with her family, who mean the world to her. Being a grandma is the greatest gift given to her. She enjoys cooking, baking, making wreaths and floral arrangements, stenciling and painting on wood, and crocheting. Sherry and her husband love camping and considers it their quiet time.

Jon Myers
Senior Sales and Technology Consultant
With over two decades of experience, Jon Myers is a trusted expert in providing innovative solutions for data and telecommunications needs. Since joining PacStates in 2009, Jon has leveraged his expertise to design and deliver tailored technology solutions in collaboration with the PacStates engineering team. His passion lies in hi faith, family, the great outdoors, and helping clients optimize their technology infrastructure to achieve success.
Before PacStates, Jon owned and operated an HP printer service center and a toner cartridge re-manufacturing business in California, which gave him a deep understanding of customer-centric service and business operations.
Jon is known for his determination and ability to “master the art of the deal,” ensuring every client receives the best possible outcomes. His colleagues admire his dedication, leadership, and the positive energy he brings to every project.
Outside of work, Jon is an active leader in his church’s worship team and finds joy in his family life with his wife Shelly, to whom he’s been happily married for over 30 years. Together, they have raised eight children and are proud grandparents to 11 grandchildren.
Jon’s philosophy is simple: keep everyone working and moving forward. Whether it’s at work or in his personal life, Jon is passionate about creating solutions and fostering success.
Ryan Monaghan
Senior Sales and Project Design
Ryan’s attention to detail and thoughtful considerations of his client’s needs is invaluable to PacStates. Ryan works closely with clients to deliver unmatched customer experiences, top-quality solutions on VoIP, key system, PBX and fiber-optic, and cabling projects, and consistently follows up for client satisfaction. He joined PacStates in 1999 and worked as a senior technician before assuming additional sales responsibilities. Ryan earned an associate’s degree in electronics from Truckee Meadows Community College, where he also worked as an instructor’s assistant. Outside of work you may find Ryan sharing various forms of quality-time with his family including shopping with his daughter or fun events with his wife.
Nathan Tea
IT & Business Solutions Consultant
Nathan Tea is dedicated to providing tailored technology and telecommunications solutions for clients. With a client-focused approach, Nathan works closely with businesses to understand their unique needs and develop strategies to optimize their communication and IT systems.
Nathan’s passion for building relationships and delivering personalized and meticulously delivered service results stemmed from working with his family business since he was a child and serving on multiple public safety boards and as a former Youth Legislator for Senate District 16. Nathan is committed to helping PacStates continue its tradition of excellence and innovation in the telecommunications industry.
Outside of work, Nathan enjoys going to UNR, golfing, hiking, reading and writing. His love for these activities fuels his energetic and solution-oriented approach to serving PacStates’ clients.
Shawn Clark
Sales and Mitel Consultant
Shawn Clark has a rich background in the field of Unified Communications, with a significant 18-year experience working for Mitel, a global leader in Unified Communications. His technical expertise as a Sales Engineer and Consulting Solution Architect provides him with a unique perspective and capability in his current role.
Originally from western Colorado, Shawn's educational background in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University before moving into the tech-centric Bay Area seems to have been a foundational step in his career. His relocation to Reno in 2002 provided a shift to a more balanced lifestyle, considering his interests in gardening and outdoor activities in Nevada.
His personal life, married to Miah since 2001 with two daughters, Sammy and Lilly, adds a personal touch to his professional profile, highlighting the importance of family and leisure in his life. An IT Analyst at PacStates with 12 years of experience in IT consulting. Passionate about family, the outdoors, and sports, he brings a balanced perspective to his role. Specializing in network administration, cloud solutions, and server management, he provides expert support to small businesses, healthcare, law firms, and engineering firms. With a customer-centric focus and a security-first mindset, he is dedicated to delivering reliable and secure IT solutions.
Noah Fujii
IT Support Technician
Noah came to PacStates in 2020 and raised the bar for his as an IT support technician specializing in managed services, computer/networking support, and programming. Noah graduated from the Reno Technology Academy and worked for Wireless Advocates, Inc. prior to coming to PacStates. Outside of work you may find Noah spending quality time with his family, creating works of art and music, or programming any number of software's.
Roy Wynn
IT Help Desk Technician
Rory is a recent hire at PacStates. He has an applied science degree for Software Development from Mid-Michigan Community College. Rory also has certifications in CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ and Threat Locker.
In his spare time, Rory enjoys working out at the gym and gaming.

Scott Casbarro
Senior Technician
With 25 years at PacStates, Scott Casbarro is an invaluable asset to the team. As one of PacStates’ lead technicians, Scott specializes in troubleshooting with incredible amounts of patience and empathy while implementing and troubleshooting phone systems and IT services including server management and networks. His dedication and expertise have made him a cornerstone of PacStates’ success. Outside of the office you can find him spending quality time with his family, repeating strikes on his bowling team, and with his business partners at Parlay 6 Brewing in Midtown where they are creating nostalgic delights, meticulously crafting beers.
Joseph Stewart
UCaaS Programming Technician & Customer Support
Customer Support Representative and a trainer for both client end-users and administrators. Joseph Stewart often receives praise from our clients and is particularly recognized for providing exceptional support during his call flow and technical training.
Joseph prides himself in effectively solving client problems. He is able to put the most frustrated clients at ease by making them feel heard and understood, then applying well-thought-out solutions with a thoughtful voice and meticulous attention to the finite details. He is the in-house ‘class clown’ and wins every contest involving spicy food, including enjoying the temperature of the One Chip Challenge.
Before joining PacStates, Joseph worked for Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center IT.
Matt Bridge
Matt Bridge is as dedicated Telecommunications/UCaaS Specialist with a focus on exceeding customer expectations in every interaction. With 23+ years of experience, he excels in overseeing projects from design to implementation, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with clients. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family.

Senior Technician
Daniel has been sharing his incomparable installation and testing skills to PacStates for over 30 years now. He has worked in numerous systems for the company, including telecommunications, building control, lighting, fire, alarm, access control, anti-theft, and surveillance. Installation Specialist. Daniel Erickson has shared his unmatched installation and testing skills with PacStates for over 30 years. He is an expert in telecommunications, building control, lighting, and surveillance systems, among other technologies.
Steven Gallinetti
Senior Cable Technician
Steven joined PacStates in early 2016 and is a Cable/Fiber-Certified Technician. Mr. Gallinetti brings a specialization in installation of cable, fiber and equipment-room infrastructure. He has proven to lead a crew to provide on time and under budget projects.
Karem Figueroa
Cable Technician
Karem’s thoughtful and detailed personality serves as an excellent internal support role, cable infrastructure technician, installing cable fiber and recently joined the UCaaS team to assist with the growth in our UCaaS division. It appears as though there isn’t a job she cannot do so she has remained flexible and changed roles inside the company multiple times. Outside of the office she spends time with her two French bulldogs.
Miguel Acosta
Cable Technician
Miguel (Mikey) joined the PacStates team as a cable technician and prides himself on creating an excellent customer experience through his attention detail. He serves as a Cable technician installing cable, fiber, and security systems. Previously, Mikey worked for Tesla as a tool installer and network infrastructure.
Rafael Acosta Figueroa
Cable Technician
Rafael (Chico) came to PacStates in 2022. He serves as a cable technician installing cable and fiber. Before coming to PacStates he gained experience as data technician for a local cable company.
Jay Suda
Senior Cable/Fiber-Certified Technician
Jay specializes in and is lead technician for installation of cable, fiber and equipment-room infrastructure. He has worked for PacStates since 2005 and has more than 26 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Before he joined PacStates, Jay was the owner of an electrical company.
Christian Lafayette
Cable Technician
Chris has been with PacStates for about 4 years. He serves as an IT/Cable infrastructure Technician installing cable and fiber. Chris has experience in robotics production and as a IT computer technician, as well as drafting and CAD.
Tyler Duncan
Cable Technician
Tyler Duncan joined PacStates in 2016 as a Data Technician and has since gained extensive experience in fiber optics, building data rooms, and routing and terminating various low-voltage cables. His hands-on expertise and technical skills make him a valuable asset to the team.
Outside of work, Tyler enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, riding motorcycles, and supporting his son's racing endeavors.
Austin Rhyme
Cable Technician
Austin Rhyme joined PacStates in June 2024 as a Data Technician. In his role, he has gained experience in building data rooms, as well as routing and terminating various low-voltage cables. His technical skills and attention to detail make him a valuable part of the team.
Outside of work, Austin enjoys spending his free time fishing and hunting.
Bill Adamson

With 25 years of experience in the construction and low-voltage industries, Bill Adamson has built a reputation for delivering high-quality installation and service solutions. Specializing in low-voltage systems, he brings extensive expertise in both residential and commercial projects, ensuring that every system is designed, installed, and maintained with precision and reliability.
Over the years, Bill has developed a deep understanding of industry standards and emerging technologies, consistently striving to exceed client expectations. Known for his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills, he continues to play a key role in the success of every project, whether large or small.
Tim Mace
Senior Cable Technician
Tim Mace is a Cable Technician at Pac States and has been with the company since May 2021. With a natural talent for electronics, he thrives in a hands-on technical environment, bringing strong problem-solving skills and expertise to his role.
Outside of work, Tim enjoys working on cars and tinkering with electronics, always finding new ways to expand his technical knowledge and skills.
Gary Gibson
Cable Technician
With over 15 years of experience in telecommunications, Gary Paul Gibson is a highly skilled Data/Fiber Technician. His extensive background includes roles as a Cable Dog, Lead Cable Dog, and Project Lead, earning him the title of "Top Cable Dog" in the field.
Beyond telecommunications, Gary has experience in software design within the entertainment industry and has worked as a security consultant. His diverse skill set and problem-solving abilities make him a valuable asset in any technical environment.
Interests:
When he's not working, Gary enjoys snow skiing, water skiing, camping, hunting, and working with computers.
